United Against Online Abuse in Sport Day, marked on 7 July, is a global awareness and action moment led by FIA’s UAOA Coalition to mobilise the sport ecosystem against online abuse.

Sport is about passion, unity and respect - online abuse threatens all three.

The UAOA brings together athletes, fans, clubs, federations, media, institutions and partners around one shared message: online abuse has no place in sport, and everyone has a role to play in creating safer and more respectful digital spaces.

About the UAOA

The UAOA is a global coalition that unites governments, tech giants, and sports organizations to safeguard athletes, officials, and fans from digital violence and harassment. Founded by the International Federation of Motorsport (FIA) in 2023, in collaboration with the FIA Foundation and Peace & Sport, the UAOA's mission is to protect competitors and referees from escalating online harassment and creating a digital environment free from intimidation.
