Heritage Day 24 Sept | Born In SA, for Successs

After a week of work and exploration along relatively untravelled roads along the West Coast during September, I feel called to share my rooted love for SA ...

Wishing all South Africans, and lovers of SA, a Happy Heritage Day!

We are so privileged to live and work in a country with world-class talent, skills and models, beautiful people, rich arts, culture, diversity and biodiversity...a future with infinite potential and genuine, tangible human kindness.

As you enjoy your sizzling braai's and colourful celebrations today, I invite you to ponder on these thoughts:

1) You were born in SA for a reason:

Celebrate who you are, where you are, where you came from and all those who have shared your journey. Believe that success is within your reach - irrespective of your past, your present and your view of the uncertain future.

Q: Why do you think you were born in SA?

2) As a South African, success is in your DNA:

With curiosity, rise through the internal and external blocks ... like the Protea rises through the Fire.

Q: What are your views on success?

3) Your voice and active expression matter:

Contribute your unique colour to the Rainbow Nation - believe that it will make a difference!

Q: What difference can you possibly make and how?

4) "Just Do It" the Saffer Way, with Purpose:

Mandela said, "It always seems impossible until it's done" - the Boks, Proteas, gold medal winners and visionary SA leaders continue to show us exactly that, despite the odds. They do so with confident humility.

Q: How confident are you in your winning ability?

5) Ja, Nee - "Oos, Wes, Tuis is Bes:

Plant your contribution seed today, in your mind. Then water it on waking each day ... knowing that You, fellow South African, are a catalytic expression of this " proudly human" country we call "Home".

Q: What legacy do you want to leave?

Parting Thought:

"“Each of us is as intimately attached to the soil of this beautiful country as are the famous jacaranda trees of Pretoria and the mimosa trees of the bushveld – a rainbow nation at peace with itself and the world.” -Nelson Mandela. ***
